Vice President Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Ghafoor has stated that the Government will always work to protect the natural beauty of the country and that the responsibility of that task was a national cause.

He made the statement in the recently concluded 3R forum and stated that Maldives was world renowned for the natural beauty and that this had remained so because the former generations had done so.

Adeeb said that it was the responsibility of this generation to ensure that the future generations got to experience the nation’s beauty. He also said that the tourism sector, on which the entire economy depended on, was thriving solely due to the natural beauty of the nation. Adeeb added that this was a valuable asset to the nation and therefore has to be carefully protected.

He appealed all to work together to protect the environment and natural beauty.
