Police confiscates Qasim's phone with a court warrant

Maldives Police Service has confiscated Jumhooree Party Leader Qasim Ibrahim's mobile phone and pin code with a court warrant.

Qasim's lawyer Hisaan Hussein said that police went to search his residence, M. Maafannu Villa with a court order to confiscate Qasim's phone as well. 

Hisaan said that Qasim handed over the phone when the court order was shown and the phone was confiscated for three months. 

Hence now JP leader Qasim's phone, Deputy Leader Riyaz's phone and PG member Ali Hussein's phone are now in police custody
